A native of Kansas, I grew up in a small town near Wichita. After college my career took me to Kansas City, Omaha NE, and to Monroe LA. Starting out as an Office Manager in the life insurance business with a national carrier, I transitioned to banking in 1992. My career in the investment advisory business began in the year 2000 within a community bank in Wichita KS. I relocated to the DFW area in June of 2022, and I'm very happy to be here.
I have three wonderful grown children and three grandchildren. Outside of work I enjoy a variety of outdoor activities including pickleball, hiking, biking, exploring new places, outdoor adventures, working out, golf, and watching college football and basketball.
A blacksmith by trade, my Great Grandfather moved his family to a small town in south central Kansas in the late 1800’s for work. Eventually he moved on to another nearby town as the owner of a grocery store, then moving once more to a town a few miles east as the owner of a grocery store in that town. In 1911 he entered the banking business when the bank next door came up for sale. Starting in high school as a bank teller during the summer, I spent a good portion of my working years in the bank through 2010. As a community bank our focus was working with individuals and businesses to deliver the services they needed in a very personal and high-tech manner. The bank continues today under the leadership of a fifth generation.
I believe it is in part due to this history that I get great satisfaction from working with people who need and appreciate investment and financial planning guidance. If you or someone you know is looking for a financial advisor to work with on a more personal level, I invite you to reach out for an initial consultation.
